This event featured case studies to help share lessons learned and research on coastal dune resilience projects in California.

A summary of the major themes that arose from the Coastal Dunes for Resilience Workshop and ideas for maximizing results from pilot projects and establishing best practices for effective implementation of coastal resilience strategies along our coastlines.

The Coastal Dunes for Resilience Workshop seeks to advance dune resilience best practices and scientific knowledge in California through;
  • sharing lessons learned from recent dune research and nature-based projects
  • fostering collaborative learning opportunities at California's pilot project and natural dune sites​
  • engaging diverse perspectives on coastal resource stewardship, public access, and culturally inclusive climate adaptation approaches
